Ricky Cardús will be riding full time in next year’s Moto2 GP championship.
The Spanish rider, who is one Jorge Lorenzo’s best friends (hence the X Fuera helmet), has signed an agreement with the new QMMF Moto2 team, that has the backing of the Qatari Motorcycle Federation.
This year Cardús divided his time between the CEV Buckler Moto2 series and Moto2 GP’s.
He first subbed at Barcelona for injured Stefan Bradl in the Viessmann Kiefer Racing team and then was called in full time to replace Bernat Martinez in the Maquinza-Sag team, after Martinez was fired for “repeated non-compliance of his contractual liabilities.
”Cardús will be fielded alongside Qatar rider Mashel Al Naimi who debuted this season on the international racing scene raced under the Blusens STX banner, both riders did not score any points in the Moto2 standings, while Cardús finished 8th in the CEV, missing three races.
