More speed controls in Belgium

The Belgian government is planning to measure the time a vehicle spends between two speedometers.
From the beginning of next year a new project will start on the highway in the Belgian city of Gentbrugge.
The time spent by a vehicle between two digital speedometers (like the one in the picture) will be counted and calculated.

Hard braking before the digital speedometer and driving faster in between will not be enough anymore to escape from your penalty.
Driving at a speed of 140 with your bike on the highway can cost you a minimum of €55.
The maximum speed on most Belgian highways is 120.
