Microsoft lures a top executive from Dell for a leading role in Ireland

Microsoft has announced the appointment of Catherine Doyle, the former head of Dell Ireland, as the new General Manager of their Irish division. Starting from July 1st, Ms Doyle will end her 23-year tenure at Dell to spearhead Microsoft’s sales, marketing, and services business. The company’s statement cites her vast experience and deep understanding of the Irish market as key reasons for her selection. Joacim Damgard, President of Microsoft Western Europe, expressed strong confidence in Ms Doyle’s ability to motivate the Microsoft Ireland team, and their partners and customers to reach unprecedented heights in the period of AI.

Ms Doyle will succeed Anne Sheehan, who expanded into a broader European role earlier this year. Exhilarated by Microsoft’s culture of innovation, inclusion, and social responsibility, Ms Doyle stated she’s privileged to guide such a skilled team.
