Dear Editor,
For the past three days, Kerry has been under an ‘orange rain alert’ issued by Met Éireann. Joanna Donnelly, who might as well be crowned this year’s “Optimist of the Year,” presented an amusing weather forecast this Tuesday. She discussed a rain front moving away from the nation before making a return. Rather amusingly, she expressed relief that the rain would be warm, implying improved temperatures. She mused, “Well, at least the rain will be warm.”
Evidently, we have warm rain to anticipate. Perhaps it’s time to fetch my swimming suit.
Thank you,
Kate Power.
In other news, one of Europe’s laggards in medical compensation is Ireland, a rather unfortunate situation for patients. Furthermore, Patrick Freyne has humorously listed twelve instances whereby Irish identity was not deemed ‘cool’, featuring the likes of ‘Murder, She Wrote’ and ‘Batman’.
