Met Éireann forecasts colder than usual weather for the upcoming weekend, despite expected bright and sunny conditions on both Saturday and Sunday. The national weather agency has also predicted an unsettled week ahead, with frequent periods of rain and showers, notably on Tuesday which is expected to be quite wet.
A mixture of clouds and sun can be anticipated for Saturday afternoon, with the finest sunlight in the western regions. Night temperatures are forecasted to drop as low as -2 degrees in some areas, causing a bit of air and grass frost along with possible mist or fog patches.
Sunday’s weather promises ample morning sunshine, however clouds are expected to move in from the west and showers are likely to spread east, with a few potentially being heavy. Maximum temperatures are predicted to range between 10 and 13 degrees.
Met Éireann predicts a mainy cloudy Monday, breezy with bouts of rain gradually clearing towards the northeast, followed by sporadic showers.
A fairly wet day with mostly cloudy conditions is forecasted for Tuesday. While Wednesday is poised to be a sunny day with occasional showers and moderate winds from the southeast. Forecasts for Thursday suggest a continuation of sunny spells interspersed with sporadic showers.
