Here is the first set of spy shots picturing the next Mercedes Citan, a new front-wheel drive urban delivery vehicle developed on the same platform of the Renault Kangoo.
The model is one of the first outcomes of the partnership between Daimler and the Renault-Nissan group – that got signed a few years back – and will come with an engine range made of both petrol and diesel powertrains, although no further information is currently available on the matter.
An all-electric zero emission version of the Citan will also join the fold at a later time, whereas available body types will include panelvan, passenger van and multipurpose vehicle.
Apparently, the model will end up being marketed in several configurations and two wheelbase variants, but we would expect to hear more about it before the official unveiling of the model, which should take place at the Hannover Commercial Vehicle Show next September.
