Mazda 3: first spy shots of the new model

The first spy shots of the Mazda 3 pre-series have arrived from evo, showing the model whose commercial release is expected for the summer of 2009.
The new Mazda 3 will be created on the C1 platform from Ford and will be a few centimetres longer and wider than the current model.
The look has been slightly updated to give added sports character.

The engines will also benefit from some retouching and will offer increased power and a better consumption ratio.
The petrol range will include the current 2.
0 litre version which should benefit from an increase of 10 hp, up to 160hp.
A new 2.
5 litre will arrive, capable of producing around 185-190hp, which has been developed from the current 2.
3 litre and which will the base of the future MPS version.
The sedan should debut at the next Los Angeles motor show in November, while the hatch version should be presented at the Bologna Motor Show a few weeks later.
