Malayasian Zulfahmi Khairuddin continued his strong perfomance at the Spanish track by taking the second spot on the front row after having lead a big part of the session on his AirAsia SIC Ajo KTM and he was 0.
268s adrift.
Le Mans winner Louis Rossi was also convincing as he took third on FTR Honda proving that his home win wasn’t a fluke.
Standings leader Sandro Cortese qualified fourth with a new chassis, but it was an uphill battle for the German rider as he’s battling a hand injury picked up after his crash in FP3.
Miguel Oliveira was fifth despite crashing in the last minute.
The Estrella Galicia rider bumped into the back of Alexis Masbou at the breaking mark at the end of the straight and took out a hapless Brad Binder (RW Kalex-KTM) with him.
Luis Salom will take off in 6th followed by Alexis Masbou on his Caretta Technology Honda NSF250R, Efren Vazquez, Hector Faubel.
Gresini’s Niccolò Antonelli closed out the top ten.
