Maserati A6CGS wins at the Concorso d’Eleganza, Villa d’Este: galleries

Italy’s famous Concorso d’Eleganza vintage and luxury car event has concluded with some stunning vehicles on display at the Villa d’Este on Lake Como.
The “Coppa d’Oro” was won by a 1955 Maserati A6CGS, which is one of three examples built by Frua with a 2110 cm3 six cylinder engine.

The lovely vintage Maserati belongs to John F.
Bookout Jr.
Other vehicles on display at Cernobbio were a Talbot-Darracq GP 1500 Siluro Corsa, a 1965 Pininfarina Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 TZ2 Coupé (with the prize for most exciting design) and a 1968 Lamborghini Miura Roadster (winning for best restoration).
The most elegant car prize went to a 1935 Phantom II Continental Drophead Coupé, and a special prize went to Dutch collector Frans Van Haren for having driven his Mercedes-Benz 710 SS Sport Tourer all the way from the Netherlands to Italy for the event.
