In yesterday’s GP Commission press release besides indicating that Michele Pirro will have three wildcard rides in 2013, they also indicated that Austrian team Schwarz & Bronnen has been granted a wildcard entry for Martin Bauer for the Brno GP scheduled for August 25th.
The Schwarz & Bronnen team is owned by Andreas Bronnen and Fritz Schwarz and they usually race in the German IDM Superbike and Supersport championship and this year the team under the banner of Technogym Racing Austria – Fritze Tuning and took second in championship with former 125cc and Moto2 rider Michael ‘Michi’ Ranseder.
The team will be entering a CRT with a BMW S1000RR engine and they presented the bike during the World Superbike round at Nurburgring last September, and have already starting testing the machine at the Pannoniaring circuit, with three-time IDM Superbike champion Martin Bauer (2007 and 2008 with Honda Holzhauer and 2011 with KTM’s factory team who later decided to pull out of the series) which left Bauer without a ride in 2012.
