Marco Melandri to drive another Speedcar in Dubai

While Marco Melandri is still waiting to know if he’s going to ride this year in MotoGP and if Dorna’s CEO Carmelo Espeleta will be able to place a no logo Kawasaki ZX-RR on the grid, he will also try competing again in the Speedcar Series on the new race circuit in Dubai the 27th and 28th of February.

After his wildcard appearance in Qatar, Melandri impressed many a race driver by placing 8th in Race 1 and was leading Race 2 until his car broke down due to a gear shift problem.
The Speedcar Series Championship is a racing championship where drivers compete in identical V8 620hp stock cars with no electronic aids.
