Marco Melandri fitness race against time

Marco Melandri has began his race against time in order to get fit for the 2011 World Superbike season after his shoulder operation, that took place on December 23rd.
According to his Twitter page and this photo, the Yamaha Sterilgarda factory rider has already begun training, at least his legs are getting a work out on a stationary bike, as he’s still wearing an arm brace that will be removed tomorrow.

From Tuesday on, Melandri will begin proper physical therapy, that will include swimming workouts.
The 28-year old Italian expects to be fit for the team’s next test, that will be held at the Portimao circuit in Portugal on January 26th.
