Marc Marquez undergoes eye surgery

Marc Marquez was supposedly almost recovered from his double vision problems in his right eye that he sustained during his practice crash at Sepang last October, but the young Spanish rider has opted to undergo surgery to correct the fastidious problem that hasn’t completely disappeared on its own as everyone expected, and prevents him from riding at a professional level.

The operation was carried out at the Ophthalmic Institute at the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona’s Ambulatory Surgery Unit by Dr.
Bernardo Sánchez Dalmau this morning and Marquez has already been discharged from hospital to continue recovery at home where he will have to rest for a few days.
If recovery goes as expected, the Catalunya Caixa Repsol rider could be fit enough to take part in the Valencia Moto2 test scheduled for February 8th – 10th, however a final decision will be made at the end of this month after consulting his specialists.
