Marc Marquez takes 5th pole position at Assen

.
After three perfect free practices at the TT Circuit Van Drenthe at Assen Pol Espargaro had to concede the pole position to rival Marc Marquez, his fifth of the season.
After posting the best lap in qualifying a 1′37.

Espargaro ended up 2nd and he was 0.
455s adrift while Andrea Iannone took a distant third with his Speed Up machine.
Coming in fourth was Randy Krummenacher and he was already over a second from Marquez, but it was his best qualifying result so far.
Technomag CIP’s Dominque Aegerter jumped up to fifth, whole Simone Corse made it into the second row with his 6th and he pipped Scott Redding for the spot by just 0.
001s.
Bradley Smith was 8th followed by Alex de Angelis, with Thomas Luthi who fell back to close out the top ten and seems to be struggling in this part of the season after an excellent beginning.
There were a couple of more crashes in qualifying, Max Neukirchner, Johann Zarco and Claudio Corsi and both QMMF Racing Team riders, Anthony West and Elena Rosell.

For Rosell it put her tally at two in the same day, just like Marquez.
