Marc Marquez leads Misano FP4 despite crash

The fourth and final practice session at Misano ahead of qualifying, saw Marc Marquez still on top of the timesheets, but the Repsol Honda rookie also crashed out in highspeed lowside at turn 13 while he was trying to close the line under braking.
Fortunately Marquez was unhurt even if the right arm of his leathers was scraped off.

Posting a best time of 1:33.
912 he was able to lower his FP3 – albeit by just 0.
063s, but still no one could hold a candle to him as Jorge Lorenzo – who this time didn’t do his usual long run – was a little more than two tenths adrift.
Alvaro Bautista jumped to third and he was followed by Valentino Rossi in fourth.
The Italian Yamaha rider was asked by Bridgestone to try a hard rear tire, so he spent a few laps testing the harder compound during the FP4 instead of improving his lap times.
Fifth went to Dani Pedrosa who seems to have some trouble keeping his RCV on the line, while Andrea Dovizioso was sixth but over a second adrift from Marquez.

Cal Crutchlow finally broke out of his lowly positions as he moved into 7th and 1.
230s from the top of the timesheets and for the first time he’ll have to qualify in Q1 in order make the Q2 cut.
Stefan Bradl, Michele Pirro and Andrea Iannone closed out the top ten, while Nicky Hayden couldn’t move out of 12th and he was behind ART rider Aleix Espargaro.
