An investigation has been initiated by authorities in Co Louth, following the finding of a male corpse in Drogheda on Wednesday evening. The deceased, a man in his thirties, was discovered in the Greenhills district of the town approximately at 9pm. Responding to a call, the police arrived at the scene and confirmed the man’s death. The trajectory of the investigation will be guided by the results of an autopsy, police confirmed. Both the State Pathologist and the local coroner have been informed about the incident. The officers have cordoned off the area in anticipation of comprehensive forensic scrutiny. Police representatives have informed that they are probing all aspects surrounding the unsettling discovery of the corpse.
