“Man, Teenager Die After Donegal Crash”

In a tragic turn of events, a man in his 20s has become the second fatality from a serious vehicular accident that took place in Co Donegal on Saturday night. The incident happened around 11.15pm at Cross, Quigley’s Point, where the vehicle lost control, struck a boundary wall and ended up in a field. It is said that the two individuals in the car were friends on a cross-Border drive.

The passenger, named as Kian Dawson, a 16-year-old from Carnhill, Derry, did not survive the crash and was declared dead at the scene. The driver, a man in his 20s, sustained critical injuries and was rushed to Royal Victoria Hospital based in Belfast.

The Gardaí, in their statement, announced the sad news of the young man’s death on Tuesday afternoon. They are also urging anyone who may have witnessed the accident to cooperate and share any information they may have.

Recordings from dashcam footage, should anyone have been in the vicinity at the time, are also requested by the investigating officers.
