Man Charged with Jordan Ronan’s Murder

A Dublin man in his mid-thirties has been arraigned on charges of killing 20-year-old Jordan Ronan from Tallaght. Patrick Murphy (36) from Drumcairn Parade, Tallaght, Dublin 24 was brought before a special session of the criminal justice courts on Saturday, answering charges pertaining to the demise of Mr Ronan at Drumcairn Avenue on the 26th of July.

Detective Garda Stephen Nealon, stationed at Tallaght, mentioned that upon being charged, Mr Murphy expressed remorse for his action, stating, “I sincerely regret his passing. I never intended for things to turn out this way.” Judge Michael Ramsey was informed that Mr Murphy is currently jobless, hence legal aid was approved.

Mr Murphy awaits his next court appearance from the remand centre at Cloverhill, scheduled for the 31st of July.
