Man Charged Over Jordan Pakenham’s Murder

A male individual aged in his 30s is scheduled to appear at the Criminal Courts of Justice later today, in connection with the tragic death of young Jordan Pakenham from Tallaght, Dublin, who was just 20 years old. The stabbing incident led to Mr. Pakenham suffering a lethal injury in the Drumcairn Estate in Tallaght during the early morning on Friday.

The suspect, apprehended and incarcerated at a Dublin garda station yesterday, is expected to face court around half past four in the afternoon. An additional female suspect in her 30s, taken into custody earlier today relating to the same investigation, remains under detention for further enquiry.

A postmortem examination has been conducted on Mr. Pakenham, who was the senior sibling in a family of four and resided in the Rossfield area of Tallaght, approximately 1km from the incident location. The postmortem results are currently undisclosed due to investigation tactics, but it is confirmed that the enquiry is being handled as with any other murder case.

The Gardaí continue to urge any potential witnesses, especially those present in the Drumcairn Estate vicinity in Dublin 24, during the hours of 3 to 4 in the morning yesterday, to step forward. They also appeal to those who have video captures, notably drivers with dashcam footage taken within that time frame, to submit their recordings to Gardaí investigators. Anyone else having any information that may aid the investigation is urged to reach out to Tallaght Garda station at 01 666 6000, or the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or to any Garda station.

It is conjectured that Mr. Pakenham was attacked around 4am after a local man suspected a van being intruded upon within the estate. Even though paramedics strived to resuscitate him, sadly he was declared dead shortly after being admitted to Tallaght University Hospital. His funeral will be organised within the forthcoming days.
