With its great motoring tradition, Italy has always been known for its beautiful cars.
And from September 28 to October 4 in Sicily a gathering of cars will take place that already has collectors excited.
We’re talking about the ‘Etna Raid’, now in its 11th edition.
A kind of pilgrimage around these parts for international tourists, the gathering is exclusively for vintage cars.
The vehicles, coming from all over the world, will complete a ‘parade’ of about 1000 kilometres, on the trail of the most noble and exclusive, though not very well known, residences of the island.
For fans of vintage cars, it is sure to be an exhilarating experience.
Registration gets you dinner and accommodation in some great hotels, tours of the castles and villas along the way and even a possible dip in the sea.
It sounds like a great excuse to cruise around Sicily, enjoying the best of its culture and cuisine.
But if you don’t have a vintage car, you’d better get one quick because participation is limited to 80 vehicles, all must be prior to 1970.
