“London Leicester Square Stabbing: Man Arrested”

A man is currently in police custody following a stabbing incident in Leicester Square, a popular tourist spot in the heart of London, which resulted in an 11-year-old girl and a 34-year-old woman being seriously wounded, according to the UK police. The authorities reported no further suspects in relation to the crime.

The victims were immediately taken to the hospital, with their current condition yet to be updated by the authorities. A representative from the London Ambulance Service confirmed that both victims were transported to a major trauma centre. This followed a call reporting the incident at 11.36am on Monday 12th August, which prompted the dispatch of an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer, and members of the tactical response unit to the scene.

It’s worth mentioning that the police force’s official statement clarified that officers were actively investigating the scene of the crime. Meanwhile, the investigations are still ongoing.
