Dear Editor,
As someone who frequently cleans up our beaches, it is heartening to witness a decrease in the number of discarded plastic bottles and aluminium cans. However, the real menace now is the disposable coffee cups. We often come across their tops brought in by the sea waves or find the cups themselves deserted on the sands or wedged in rocky outlets. There is still much to do before we can declare this issue resolved.
