“Leinster’s Key Players’ Injury Update Pre-Leicester”

In the lead up to the Champions Cup 16th round match against Leicester Tigers at Aviva Stadium, Leinster’s head coach Leo Cullen is anxiously awaiting further medical updates on a number of key players (live coverage will be provided by RTÉ2 and TNT Sports, kick-off at 8pm).

Updates are expected on the condition of Jimmy O’Brien, who has been off the pitch due to a neck injury since January. Progress will be assessed this week as he approaches game readiness.

Additionally, the Irish international players Robbie Henshaw (head), Ciarán Frawley (foot), Hugo Keenan (hip), Garry Ringrose (shoulder), and Andrew Porter (shoulder) are all set to undergo evaluations this week, before a final decision is made regarding their potential participation in the upcoming game. Luke McGrath’s incipient recovery procedure will also undergo an analysis following his Graduated Return to Play protocol.

Cormac Foley, who has recently recovered from a shoulder injury, is back in full training this week while Charlie Ngatai continues his recovery from a calf injury.

There is no additional news on the injuries sustained by James Ryan (arm), Tommy O’Brien (hamstring), and Alex Soroka (foot).

With more than 30,000 tickets already purchased for this match, Leinster continues their pursuit for a fifth Champions Cup title.
