Kyaw Zwar Minn’s expulsion

Kyaw Zwar Minn, ambassador recently expelled from the UK, left outside his embassy, said he slept in the car. He also reported that his friends and relatives from his country have gone into hiding. But why?

The facts date back to Wednesday, April 7, when the ambassador of Myanmar since 2014 tried in vain to enter the building. According to rumors to make the decision was his deputy, Chit Win, on the order of the Burmese military junta.

The reason for the exclusion from the embassy would be the fact that Kyaw Zwar Minn has declared allegiance to the civilian leader Aung San Suu Kyi. But the military regime disagrees because Minn doesn’t recognize the takeover by the coup. The ambassador said that’s why his family and friends from his native country are hiding and do not show their faces because of him.

Kyaw Zwar Minn believes that someone, who he thought was for him a person of trust, actually double-crossed him. He thinks someone has been spying on him for some time.

The FDCO, the day after the incident, was opposed to the way the ambassador was expelled and how he was prevented from entering the facility. They appreciate the courage and his defence of the people of Myanmar. For this reason, they will ensure that he can live in serenity and security in the United Kingdom. He fears for his safety and security and is demanding more measures around his home. The ambassador lives in Hampstead with his wife, two kids, two dogs and a guard.
