“Juventus’ €50m Aston Villa Midfielder Purchase”

Juventus has officially announced the acquisition of Douglas Luiz, a Brazilian international player from Aston Villa, for a fee of €50 million. This 26-year-old middleman was instrumental in securing Villa’s qualification to the Europa Conference League and Champions League over the previous two seasons, clocking in more than 150 games for his club. In 2019, after kick-starting his career at Vasco da Gama in Brazil, Luiz moved to Villa from Manchester City. Following his transfer to Villa, he made his debut on the international stage and clinched a gold medal at the postponed 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games representing Brazil. On its official website, Juventus welcomed Luiz and stated, “After a five-year stint with Villa that saw his technical, physical, and tactical abilities grow immensely, Douglas Luiz begins a new journey with Juventus. Welcome aboard, Douglas. We eagerly look forward to your performance on the field!”
