While Valentino Rossi was fooling around with his girlfriend Marwa and friends at the Aquafan park in Riccione, and Nicky Hayden was at Monza for the Formula 1 race, reigning MotoGP World Champion Jorge Lorenzo with his free time and waiting for the upcoming Aragon GP, entered another car endurance race.
The Spaniard took part in this weekend’s Campeonato de España de Resistencia (Spanish championship endurance) at the Catalunya circuit, and he and his team mates Jose Manuel de los Milagros and Alvaro Fontes prevailed over 70 other drivers to win the race with a Seat León Supercopa (D4).
This is third time that Lorenzo has competed in a car endurance race after driving in the 500 Kilómetros de Alcañiz and a round of the Copa de España de Resistencia last year with a Fiat 500 Abarth Assetto Corse.
