Jorge Lorenzo goes Semakin Di Depan for Yamaha again

World Champion Jorge Lorenzo is currently touring and promoting the Yamaha brand in Indonesia and also got to launch the company’s new Jupiter MX and the Lexan electric moped for that vast market.
Not only taking part in the official press conference and answering the ritual questions from a 150 journalist strong audience, Lorenzo also moved on to shoot a new Yamaha commercial for that country and you can watch his last year’s commercial and Valentino Rossi’s, also starring Indonesian comedy star Komeng after the jump.

Since a Lorenzo statue is going to placed at the entrance of a roller coaster ride in Bandung, he also had a face mould done, hence the blue junk on his face.
You can also check out the new Alpinestars leathers he’s wearing in Yamaha corporate colours with the Semakin Di Depan logo on the front.
More pics and press release after the jump.
Yamaha Factory Racing Team rider Jorge Lorenzo wrapped up the first day of his Indonesian visit today, a key market for Yamaha and one of the most important globally for the brand.

The Mallorcan star was warmly welcomed as always, enjoying huge support from his millions of Indonesian fans.
This fourth trip marks his first as MotoGP World Champion.
Lorenzo’s day started in Jakarta with a VIP appearance alongside Yamaha Motor Kencana Indonesia’s (YMKI’s) top management at a press conference for 150 journalists to officially introduce two new models; the Jupiter MX and the Lexam electric moped.
YMKI’s status as Official Sponsor of the Yamaha Factory Racing Team continues this year with its slogan ‘Semakin Di Depan’, meaning ‘One Step Ahead’, again proudly displayed on the Yamaha YZR-M1 bikes for the 2011 season.
Lorenzo was joined on stage by YMKI President and Director Dyonisium Beti; YMKI Vice President Hidefumi Seto; YMKI General Manager Promotion & Motorsport Paulus S.
Firmanto; Hiroo Saito, Motorsport Development Division, YMC MotoGP Group and William Favero, Communications Manager, Yamaha Motor Racing.
After the press conference the World Champion’s busy schedule continued with a TV shoot for a YMKI commercial film, a photo shoot and then time out to have a face mould made for a wax statue that will be placed at the entrance of one of the biggest and fastest roller-coaster of the world in Bandung, sponsored by YMKI.
Tomorrow will see Lorenzo take part in a YMKI dealer meeting and then the following day he will attend a press conference in Surabaya and an exclusive meet and greet for his many loyal fans.
The 17th January will see Lorenzo arrive in Bali for a further press conference and photo shoot, then a second meet and greet to give his fans another opportunity to meet him in person.
The reigning World Champion will remain in Bali on winter holiday until the 27th January before heading to Malaysia to start the first of the 2011 MotoGP tests at the Sepang circuit on the 1st February.
“It’s a great pleasure for me to be here in Indonesia again,” said Lorenzo, “a place that I love and where people love me.
I am honoured to attend the presentation of these two new models, the Jupiter MX and the Lexam, both as testimonial and as Yamaha’s ambassador.
I hope that my presence here gives a strong push to YMKI sales in Indonesia.
It gives me great pleasure that my fourth visit to Indonesia is also the first one as MotoGP World Champion and is a way to thank you all for the passion and the enthusiasm you have always showed to me.
Semakin Di Depan’ is advice I took to my heart last season, staying one step ahead to take the title.
I will be spending my last (and only) winter holidays here in Indonesia until the first test of the season starts in Malaysia.
I am sure I will have a great time here and especially some rest and time for training.
Honestly, having seen such evidence of the passion of the Indonesian people for MotoGP, I truly hope that MotoGP comes back to Indonesia soon.
While waiting for it, I will probably have to organize some clinics here for young riders so that the passion for riding rises more and more.
Finally, I would like to thank Beti-san and Seto-san for their invitation to me and I would like to thank the Indonesian people for their warm welcome.
Again, this year, I will do my best during the MotoGP season to justify your courtesy and to thank you all for your invaluable support to me”.
