Below is a piece from an an interview reported in Milan’s paper the Corriere della Sera with Claudio Sabelli Fioretti:“Lavinia, you started work straight away, creating a bag for Trussardi.

It will be called Le Vie and will possibly become the next Kelly, the Herm├Ęs bag made famous by Grace Kelly.
Work? But why? Certainly not for the money.
Lavinia, once the aristocratics “aristocratised”.
That is, they didn’t work for as long as their funds permitted it.
You have a husband who is decidedly wealthy.
What is happening to the world? Why are people working when they could avoid it?”Lavinia: “In essence, I don’t have to work.
But I like my independence.
Work is a way for me to exercise that.
To work too much though, is killing, but it would also be frustrating to work for nothing.
”Whatever that means.
I too, would love to create a bag and call it “work”.
