Jawa 650 Dakar model to celebrate 80 years

JAWA Moto spol.
s r.
o.
is a Czech company established in 1929 in Prague, and for its 80th birthday this year, it’s presenting a new model with plenty of modern technology and grunt.
Jawa is revealing the 650 Dakar, which will be available in two versions.
The 652cc engine comes from the Minarelli-Yamaha single cylinder equipping the XT660.

A simple and robust engine, it has about 50 hp at 6,500 rpm.
More Italian components are featured on the Dakar, including Paioli fork, Grimeca brakes and more parts from Verlicchi and Bitubo.
The bike apparently has a dry weight of 190 kg, and sales should start from 2010.
The two versions are the base model and Touring model, with the latter featuring a windshield and a set of bags.
More information on the Jawa site.
