James Ryan Resumes Training for Clashes

James Ryan, after overcoming his bicep rupture, is set to join Leinster’s training within the week, as officially shared by the province. The announcement is made just over a week in advance of Leinster’s crucial Champions Cup finale against Toulouse, to be hosted in London.

Ryan had been sidelined from the last two of Ireland’s Six Nations matches following an unexpected injury during practice. Joining him in the line-up will be Hugo Keenan, returning post hip-injury, and Will Connors. These players were absent from Saturday’s impressive victory against the Ospreys. Keenan was off the field since Leinster’s triumph in the Champions Cup’s round of 16 on April 6th, while Connors sat out the weekend competition as a preventative measure.

The trio will be considered for the selection prior to Saturday’s interpro match against Ulster in Belfast.

However, uncertainty surrounds Garry Ringrose’s fitness, who is still grappling with a shoulder complication. The centre has not been part of any games since Ireland’s last Six Nations match where Scotland was defeated.

In the meantime, an injury to Lee Barron during Leinster’s South Africa trip has led to a shoulder surgery, ruling him out for the remaining season. Liam Turner is also on the injury list due to an arm problem.
