The Israeli military reported conducting air strikes against Hizbullah, a group in Lebanon, throughout the evening, after a rocket allegedly launched by the group at a football field resulted in twelve fatalities, amongst whom were children. As announced by the military, the Israel Air Force targeted an array of Hizbullah’s terrorist hideouts extending deeply into Lebanese terrain, as well as in the south, striking weapon stockpiles and terrorism framework within regions of Chabriha, Borj El Chmali, Beqaa, Kfarkela, Rab El Thalathine, Khiam, and Tayr Harfa.
Meanwhile, Iran issued a caution against Israel for any potential forthcoming hostilities in Lebanon. This warning was proposed by Nasser Kanaani, a spokesperson for the foreign ministry. Saturday witnessed the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights suffering a rocket assault on a football pitch, which caused twelve deaths. As a result, Israel pledged to retaliate strongly, blaming the incident on Hizbullah, a group supposedly supported by Iran.
Hizbullah was labelled as ‘indisputably accountable’ for the Saturday attack by Israel’s foreign ministry, a claim which the Lebanese group vehemently denies. They made their stand known after being condemned in Israel for the air strikes that led to at least 50 fatalities in Gaza, and the call for a rapid conclusion to the ongoing Gaza war.
