Irish Start-Up Tines Leads LinkedIn Rankings

The no-code workflow automation venture, Tines, has conquered LinkedIn’s inventory of prime Irish start-ups in 2024, outperforming the unicorn enterprise Wayflyer and the accounting platform Outmin. The fintech company Circit and the gifting platform & Open rounded off the top five, with Manna’s drone delivery business, the EV charging and solar power enterprise ePower, and digital pathology firm Deciphex among the top 10.

LinkedIn’s yearly classification of growing companies identifies Ireland’s top 10 most appealing start-ups for potential employees based on data from 3 million LinkedIn users in the country. The ranking considers factors such as employee growth, interest in the roles offered, engagement with the company and its staff, and the appeal for top-tier professionals. The data was collected over 12 months ending in July.

Tines, created by Eoin Hinchey and Thomas Kinsella in 2018, advanced from its spot as the second most sought-after start-up in the previous year. The firm has designed software that enables non-technical individuals to automate security workflows, thereby freeing technical staff to concentrate on work of crucial significance, rather than everyday tasks. The company recently introduced Workbench, a new AI conversational tool that aids security teams in utilising extensive language models safely on exclusive data.

Polly Dennison, a news editor at LinkedIn News, commented on the findings. She highlighted that this year’s list is predominantly constituted by tech enterprises, accentuating Ireland’s vibrant start-up atmosphere. Dennison mentioned the commendable ways in which Irish companies are reinventing global norms, as seen with Manna Drone Delivery bringing takeaways to one’s doorstep or Outmin using AI to simplify daily accounting tasks. She believes the keen interest and application volume for these top 10 start-ups and the quality talent they attract are promising indications of their future success.
