“Ireland’s Housing Crisis: What’s Next?”

Those seeking to purchase a home might find themselves disheartened by a recent report from the estate agency, Sherry FitzGerald, which centres around property prices and inventory availability. According to the agency’s statistics, the availability of resale properties in Ireland has seen a drastic drop of nearly a third, due to the ongoing pandemic. Additionally, the report revealed that the yearly rise in house prices was recorded at 5.5 per cent for the past 12 months until June’s end, which depicts a significant rise from 3.4 per cent from the previous year. The Central Statistics Office’s statistics also support these findings, which were revealed last week. The report was brought together by John Casey, with JJ Vernon overseeing the audio production.
