Ireland: Prepare for Cold Weather

Don’t plan on postponing the operation of your home heating system just yet, as Met Éireann predicts a chilly weekend with a high chance of rainfall, which is rather cold for the current season.

The national weather forecaster also mentioned some sunny intervals, especially on Friday, which would be a little brighter than the last couple of days. Nonetheless, breezy weather is expected with a vast possibility of intermittent showers. Maximum temperatures predicted for Friday are between 10 and 13 degrees, per Met Éireann.

Saturday promises to be generally dry with sporadic clouds and occasional sunny breaks. The day’s top temperatures are forecasted to range between 11 to 14 degrees.

Nights will be relatively cold with the mercury dropping to roughly seven degrees.

As for Sunday and the week ahead, expect variable weather with intermittent rain becoming wide-spread during Saturday night and Sunday with high winds, heavy in some regions across the nation.

Flooding in certain areas could be a possible consequence. Temperature highs are likely to fluctuate between 11 to 15 degrees.

Rainfall is expected to become irregular by Sunday evening and nightfall.

Monday might offer a break with some dry intervals interrupted by occasional rainfall. There should also be brighter intervals, with temperatures expected to hover around the lower to middle teens, complimented by a gentle to moderate northwest wind.

Tuesday and Wednesday are forecasted to witness some sunny intervals, but later in the day or overnight conditions are predicted to turn rainy and windy.
