Indian Vespa: the LML Deluxe Star

Whoever had the opportunity to take a look around the Eicma show in Milan may have noticed the wild colours of theIndian vespa” – the LML Star Deluxe scooter produced in 125cc and 150cc versions.
The Indian scooters look a lot like the legendary Vespa PX, in fact they’re virtually a clone, though these modern models are Euro 3 compliant.

The Star Deluxe is built from alluminium and is available both with pedal and electronic ignition.
The Star Deluxe has an automatic mix system, with an eight litre tank.
The 125cc version has 6.
5hp and the 150cc, 7.
7hp.
The scooter has a maximum speed of about 90 km/hr and weighs 104kg.
The ten-inch wheels have a front disc brake and the classic rear drum brake, both pedal controlled.
An interesting aside is if you’re looking for news of this vespa on the internet you’ll find it mostly in Italian, showing the market the Indians hope to capture with a copycat scooter.
