Dear Sir,
In relation to Liz Carolan’s commentary, “Could Irish politics be in for a ‘brat’ autumn?” (Opinion & Analysis, September 7th), in which she states “Money, in the truest sense, speaks”.
The phrase “pathetic fallacy” appears to be pertinent here; nonetheless, the employment of “literally” as an amplifier in this specific circumstance is somewhat justifiable. – Yours sincerely,
PAUL DELANEY,
Dalkey,
Co Dublin.
