Ian Hutchinson ruled of 2011 TT

3.
16 markIan Hutchinson who made history last year after winning five races at the TT, will be not able to compete in this year’s edition.
The Bingley Bullet is still fighting leg fitness after picking up a compound fracture to his left fibia and tibula when he was run over after crashing out in the first lap during the British Supersport Championship last September at Silverstone (check the video at the 3.

16 mark to see the incident).
Despite undergoing 16 (!) operations and skin grafts and doctors have advised Hutchinson not to race at NW200 and TT to continue rehabilitation and think of fully recovering.
“I’m gutted not to be able to compete at the TT Races this year,” said Hutchinson.
“I’ve done everything I could to be there but I’ve just run out of time.
I have to listen to the advice of the surgeon and think of my long-term fitness.
This has only made me more determined to get back on the bike and return to racing later this year.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank both Yamaha and Shaun Muir for being so supportive and I’m looking forward to the chance to repay them.

Hutchinson will be appearing on the Isle of Man in the Arai Parade Lap with Moto GP legend Mick Doohan and MotoGP riders Nicky Hayden and Cal Crutchlow.
