How to spam online

Spam is a form of online advertising that consists in sending the same message numerous times to a large number of people.

Spam is basically a form of commercial and rather forced advertising online, in the form of e-mail, with the intention of making a user choose a particular link without their knowledge or choice involved. It involves multiple copies of the same message that includes dubious products as well as different quasi-legal and get-rich-quick schemes. Advertising through spam does not involve large costs and is paid by the recipient instead of the sender. Mail spam is also known as Unsolicited Bulk Email (UBE) or Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE) is a popular spamming option. It is a process of sending unwanted email messages containing commercial content to different users. Such spam emails are generally sent in large quantities to an indefinite number of users.

Positive points

This type of spamming is done across countries, as it doesn’t get the spammers into any legal trouble. Such emails are distributed through ‘Zombie Networks,’ which is a network of virus-infected personal computers. The viruses or worms in these computers allow leakage, through which spammers can access that particular system and use it for detrimental purposes. Spammers get e-mails through the industry of email-address harvesting, which collects email addresses and sells them to the spammers. These email databases are gathered from the source of such users, who do not read the fine print of agreements that mention them agreeing to send messages to such a firm’s contacts. The same method of spamming is used in case of social networking spam, where email database is generated through the site ‘Quechup’.

Negative points

Spamming is under the process of being categorized as cybercrime or illegal practice, however, it is not one right now, in many countries. This is the reason that many companies deliberately use it for advertising their products and services, at fewer costs. On the part of the users, it is always better to stay alert before opening any unknown link or email or agreeing to any online agreements without reading, to avoid spamming.
