Set-up steps
By following some basic steps you can easily install a printer in your home or office network without calling for support. These installation steps are about the same across the windows operating systems. Install the printer that will be shared upon the computer network server by using the windows printer setup wizard. This is under the “Printers and Faxes” tab, which you can locate in the control panel, then click on “Add a Printer”. Right-click on the New Printer Tab in the printers and faxes icon then select the “properties” option. Click the “Sharing” button and then highlight “Share This Printer”. Put in the identity you have chosen for the printer in the share name field. Click “Additional Drivers” then choose the drivers you need using the check-box. These additional drivers may be required by other computers upon the network. After this, click, the “OK” button. On the other computers on the network, install the shared printer. Open the Printers and Faxes tab, then click on “Add Printer” to start the printer installation wizard, then click “Next” tab and choose “Network Printer” then click “Next” again. Choose “Browse for a Printer” then click “Next”, this will pop-up a list of available printers. Select the printer you wish to install and click “Next”
