Here’s a spy shot of the Honda CB1100 which turned up in California recently, and after the jump you’ll find what looks to be part of a marketing video on the CB1100 describing some of its features and its market position.
So far the Honda CB1100 is not planned for export, though what it was doing in California will make you second-guess the official statements.
It’s designed as a vintage-style bike with an air-cooled, inline-four 1140cc engine with 87 hp and 92 Nm of torque.
While youngsters (that is anyone under the age of about 45), might not be sold on the marketing message, it shows a slight change in marketing mentality at Honda, making motorcycling nostalgic and emotional, not just fast or technologically-driven.
The CB1100 is already available in Japan and costs the equivalent of about 8,000 euros.
