Home Art Prints Aid Simon

Over 50 original pieces of artwork produced by Graphic Studio Dublin members are set to be sold to amass funds for Simon Communities, a charity that seeks to prevent homelessness. The art display, known as Echoes of Home, is scheduled to take place at the RHA Gallery on Ely Place in Dublin from October 17th until October 20th, with backing from advisory and accounting outfit HLB Ireland.

Art prints without frames are available for €160, while framed versions can be purchased for €225. Half of each sale’s profit will be donated to Simon Communities, with the remaining 50% given to the artist. After the RHA exhibit, the prints will be on display at Graphic Studio Dublin on the North Circular Road from October 18th to the 26th.

Simon Communities’ Wayne Stanley has described this initiative as immensely rewarding from a fundraising perspective and as a platform to spark conversation about Ireland’s dire homelessness situation. He argued that visual arts can effectively highlight pressing social issues in current Irish society and the urgent requirement for innovative solutions.

He further pointed out the importance of artists receiving a portion of the revenue from their sold pieces instead of purely donating their art. Stanley added that this approach emphasises the valuable role that artists play in Irish society.
