Just a stone’s throw away from the picturesque village of Arbus, south of Oristano and not far from an old coal mine which was closed down a few years ago, there‘s an amazing hotel called Le Dune.
Actually the hotel is comprised of three buildings with doors opening directly onto a congenial courtyard and from which one can enjoy a breathtaking view of the scintillating blue-green sea of Sardinia.
The first building has a restaurant, conference room and several stylish suites.
The second, which can be considered as the main building, has 10 double rooms, each with en-suite bathroom; all rooms overlook a series of archaeological sites with Roman and Punic remains.
The third building instead features reception room, tv room and 15 rooms, each with en-suite bathroom.
Guests can easily reach the most important archaeological sites of the island.
This is accessed via a panoramic road which winds through sylvan woods of magnificent century-old trees.
Surrounded by a vista of the sea and sparkling white dunes, the hotel is an enchanting corner of paradise, and I’m sure you will fall in love with it as soon as your eyes first gaze upon its magical presence.
Prices range from 97 to 225 euros per night (high season); all rooms feature air conditioning, hair drier, mini bar, phone but not tv set.
