Hector Faubel returns to CEV

Hector Faubel spent 10 full years in GP racing between the 125cc, 250cc, Moto2 and Moto3 classes, until he was dumped by Aspar during last season after the Misano GP and replaced by Luca Amato.
Unable to find a new ride in GP the popular Spanish riders has decided to return to his roots and will be competing in the CEV Repsol championship in the Stock Extreme category.

Faubel will be riding for Stratos Racing Team and have at his disposal a BMW S1000RR HP4, with backing from BMW Motorrad Spain.
“I’m really happy with this new adventure which was completely my own decision.
I’m returning to where I won the CEV championship and the Aprilia 250cc national title, so it gives me a very good feeling.
I feel fortunate to be able to ride for a great marque and team as Team BMW Motorrad and Stratos.
My intention is to acquire as many kilometers on the bike as possible in order to get to the first race with the maximum guarantees, I know won’t be easy but I want to enjoy the bike and why not fight every race for the top positions.

I want to thank everyone for the support and the confidence placed in me, team Stratos, BMW, Michelin, LS2 and all the sponsors and people who have supported me year after year,” said Faubel.
