Have a look at Pinterest’s latest office in Dublin

In April, the workspace division of Pinterest officially unveiled a new office situated on Dawson Street in Dublin 2, which also serves as the EMEA headquarters. The workspace design and construction team meticulously planned this new office location to encourage ingenuity and teamwork, with integration of facets from Ireland’s vibrant heritage. Unveil and familiarise yourself with five unique sectors of the all-new Pinterest facility in Dublin.

All Hands Section
This area, influenced by the traditional manor houses in the Irish hinterlands, exhibits details such as a coffered ceiling, ornantal mouldings and an eclectic combination of furniture, accentuating the classical style of these residences. The audio-visual wall is decked out with an innovative “Pin Grid,” that showcases textured, “pin” panels that have been embroidered and tufted. To draw focus to the display screen, it has been encased within a fancy gilt frame, similar to the kind often found suspended over a fireplace at home.

The Celtic Forest Environment
This unique space within Pinterest’s Dublin office replicates an ancient forest within a contemporary workspace, brimming with elements and sounds from nature (aligned with real-time outdoor weather). This permits Pinterest’s staff to work, focus and team up in this fully immersive setting. It comprises multiple workstations in varied setups and supplementary furniture to facilitate diverse working styles.

The Pub (with the Snug)
Traditionally, the Pub has been the focal point of social interaction. At Pinterest, it has been imaginatively brought to life amidst the metaphorical “Stormy Seas” of Ireland, complete with sea-inspired embellishments, customary painted panels, and a “stormy” colour scheme. The centre of the Pub offers snug booths illuminating with nautical lights. Mariner-themed accessories, including a lit-up undersea diorama, grace the pub’s walls.

No Pub is complete without a snug, which includes a variety of gaming options for the Pinterest team. The snug’s walls are decorated with distinctive graphics inspired by sailor tattoos.

The Long Hall

Situated away from the bustling office environment, this serene nook takes its design cues from the renowned library found within Trinity College. The layout features ornate, arch detailed shelving and intricately carved corbels, with these elements functioning as reading corners and ideal spots for focused work. A clandestine room attached to the library showcases a monochrome representation of a sitting room, boasting Celtic motifs inspired by the famed illustrations found within the Book of Kells.

Regarding Focus Rooms, the Dublin office boasts a significant number of non-reservable, accessible areas to assist employees throughout the working day. Varying personalities are given to these focus rooms, contingent on their geographical location on the Irish journey map.

We trust you have taken pleasure in this internal sneak peek into the cooperative and stimulating work areas that the Pinterest Workplace develops for its team.
