Harry’s Bar Venice: Americans can get 20% off

American tourists are going through hell? The dollar is falling down and they can’t splurge any longer and this hurts.
It seems that in Amsterdam no one wants dollars anymore.
It’s too low and how low it can go no one knows.
The same is somehow happening in Venice, but one of the most famous lounge bars of the city Harry’s Bar (the place where the first Bellini was served years ago) is now trying to lure back its American clientele.

In short if you’re American you can get 20 % off all your drinks.
I wonder whether they always have to ask for their clients’ passport! Are they not afraid of being duped by someone trying to imitate a yankee accent? And last but not least couldn’t this turn off Italians patrons for good?
