Harley-Davidson, the third coolest brand in the UK

Evidently HarleyDavidson is doing something right in advertising lately in trying to keeping up their lifestyle mystique while trying to capture younger motorcycle audience, because the American motorcycle company is the third top finisher in the UK’s CoolBrands list, beating out trendy marques like Ducati and MV Agusta (which have been on the top ten list in the past).

CoolBrands is branch of Superbrands UK and the yearly survey is voted for by 2,000 members of the public after a panel of 36 designers, style experts and media personalities give their ratings.
“Cool is subjective and personal.
But being identified as a cool brand by the British public and a panel of influential opinion formers implies it is a brand that most Brits wish to own,” said chairman of the CoolBrands Expert Council and former brand analyst Stephen Cheliotis.

YouTube“We’re thrilled that this is the fourth consecutive year that we have achieved CoolBrands status,” said HarleyDavidson UK and Ireland Marketing Manager, Steve Colling.

“We believe that HarleyDavidson is about more than just a motorcycle as a form of transport, it’s about the lifestyle and the ownership experience that our customers enjoy.
To be the only motorcycle brand in the top 20 is fantastic and shows the broad appeal that HarleyDavidson has not just with our customers, but with riders and non-riders of all ages.
We hope that this great news raises awareness of the joy of riding a motorcycle and helps attract new riders onto two wheels.
