Halloween in Italy: Trekking and Mysteries

Halloween is looming on the horizon and even here in Italy people are revving up for the most scaring night of the year.
But if you are looking for something different, the 5th Urban Trekking Day may be of some interest to you.
Actually this year the event has been renamed Trekking and Mysteries: walking through the city during All Saints’ Day Eve and will take place on the night of 31st October; for the first time people will have the opportunity to visit the most interesting and mysterious squares and buildings after sunset.

Several Italian cities will take part in this extraordinary event; in Brescia for instance you will have the opportunity to visit the famous Torre dei Prigionieri or Prisoner Tower; in Verona, the place where queen Rosmund was forced to drink from the skull of his poor father and in Salerno, you will be able to explore the Medieval Church of Santa Maria de Lama by candlelight.
Here’s a partial list of the cities that will participate in this amazing event: Ancona, Arezzo, Ascoli Piceno, Bari, Biella, Bologna, Brescia, Campobasso, Chieti, Cosenza, Ferrara, Forlì, Genova, Lucca, Macerata, Mantova, Massa, Matera, Palermo, Pavia, Perugia, Pisa, Prato, Ravenna, Salerno, Savona, Siena, Tempio Pausania, Trento, Treviso, Urbino, Verona e Viterbo
