Guitars Exist for Playing

Dear Editor,

I was thrilled to learn that the National Museum of Ireland has recently obtained the guitar once belonging to the remarkable, departed Rory Gallagher, as reported on October 17th. However, it pains me to think of such a treasure languishing behind a shield of glass, unplayed, its inherent beauty and value obscured. Consider possibly lending it to one of our bright, ambitious young musicians, giving them a chance to reverberate its authentic richness – the incredible sound still cherished and esteemed by countless Rory Gallagher fans. Surely, a tribute in the form of a duplicated instrument alongside an accompanying informational display would resonate more profoundly with the true appreciators of music. Yours sincerely,
Ephraim Purcell,
Dublin 24.
