What initially caught my attention, as an Irishman living in California, was the self-focused nature of conversations. This was in stark contrast to the usual introspective older Irish gentlemen I’m familiar with. Furthermore, I observed individuals undertaking a myriad of activities whilst behind the wheel. This included viewing games on their computers, enjoying a bowl of cereal, applying cosmetics, and even shaving.
