Dear Editor,
In the piece “Are holidays in Ireland still ‘a rip-off’?”, published on May 21st, I found the debate juxtaposed by both Georgina Campbell and Conor Pope to be rather wry. Conor’s vexation over the €3.60 coffee price is one I find quite legitimate. On the other hand, Georgina can’t help praising a €5.50 combo of coffee and a biscuit, which I found a bit perplexing. I can’t help but wonder about the sheer brilliance of the biscuit that was valued at €1.90.
Kindest regards,
Pat Quinn, Inchicore, Dublin 8.
